Twisted Gum Wines

Twisted Gum Wines operates from a three-hectare vineyard perched high on a ridge near Ballandean, at 900 metres altitude. The small-scale operation focuses on hand-crafted, single-vineyard wines using regenerative agricultural practices—hand pruning, hand harvesting, low yields typically under four tonnes per hectare, and minimal irrigation supplemented by thick vine mulch. The cellar door occupies a classic 1920s Queenslander with wrap-around verandahs on three sides, offering views across the vineyard to the surrounding hills. It's open weekends from 10am to 4pm, and also welcomes visitors by appointment.

The tasting experience centres on premium wines reflecting the high-altitude Granite Belt terroir: crisp, full-flavoured whites, the winery's popular Pink Moscato, and signature reds described as deep and inky-purple.
