Zuny Yurt in Ballandean

This eight-sided cottage sits on six and a half acres in Ballandean, right in the centre of Granite Belt wine country. A dozen cellar doors are within a couple of kilometres, offering everything from classic reds to more experimental drops. The General Store and Bakery are a five-minute walk away, and the local pub is just as close. Girraween National Park is ten minutes south by car, and Storm King Dam is a short drive down Eukey Road.

Inside you'll find a bedroom that works as either two king beds or four singles, plus a full kitchen and workspace. Garden views take in surrounding vineyards, and there's a shared barbecue area outside where kangaroos often appear at dawn and dusk. Wine tour operators will collect and return you here, making it a practical base for exploring the region's wineries and breweries.
