Sutton's Juice Factory

Sutton's Juice Factory operates from a converted packing shed just off the New England Highway at Thulimbah, marked by a bright pink sign. Behind the unassuming exterior, visitors discover a working enterprise built around apples grown in the Sutton family's own orchard. David and Ros Sutton established the operation in 1994, and what began as varietal apple juice and cider production has expanded into a full range of handcrafted products including apple brandy, fruit liqueurs, apple cider vinegar, preserves and even farmhouse soaps. Everything is made on-site by David Sutton using orchard fruit and other local Granite Belt produce.

The operation combines retail shopping with the Sutton's Shed Café, where visitors can sample products and enjoy coffee alongside a changing menu of house-made food. The café has become known for its famous apple pie, showcasing what the family can create from their signature fruit. Because it's a genuine working orchard and production facility, visitors get an authentic farm-gate experience rather than a polished tourist attraction. Regulars appreciate the honest, additive-free approach and the seasonal nature of products, which reflect actual crop availability rather than year-round manufacturing. The business opens seven days, allowing visitors to watch the progression from orchard to finished product in one location.
